DAY 1 - TAMBOR DEL LLANO - GRAZALEMA - BENAMAHOMA
This Horse ride of 3 days has as start point the area of the Tambor del Llano Hotel, where we have to prepare the horses to start the first day of the trip. We will take a path between cork oaks and olive trees to leave the property, and we ride throught the land "Los terrazgos" to get to the port of Los Alamillos.
From there we headed to the town of Grazalema along a Roman road, which reached the heart of the town. There we will contemplate the beauty of this town with its pristine whitewashed houses and balconies full of flowers, making the hooves of our horses resonate through the narrow streets to reach the upper part of the village.
Once we reach the top of the village, we will take the Charcones road that will go up directly to Puerto el Boyar, at 1100 meters of altitude. Enjoy a spectacular view on the entrance of the Sierra de Grazalema and if the weather is good, you can contemplate the Bay of Cádiz. We will begin our descent to the town of Benamahoma. This town has a cultural and historical heritage reflected in addition to the "Muslim and Christians festivals", which are celebrated at the beggining of August, in honor of San Antonio de Padua, patron saint of the town. Its main natural tourist attraction is the National Park and the river Majaceite, which is one of the most beautiful routes in the Area.
DAY 2 - BENAMAHOMA - ZAHARA DE LA SIERRA
For the second day of the route, we will go to the North West of the town of Benamahoma to take a trail of several kilometers that will take us to a plain better known as "La Laguna del Perezoso". We will continue our path through the Arroyo del Parralejo and then to the Arroyo de Bocaleones until we reach the streets of the town of Zahara de la Sierra, a town well known for its famous lake, where we can bathe the horses if the good weather allows it.
DAY 3 - ZAHARA DE LA SIERRA - TAMBOR DEL LLANO
The third and last day of the route will take us in the direction of the Ribera de Gaidovar, along a lane that runs along the Zahara lake. This area abundant in water is rich in its fertile orchards, of which the almond trees stand out, decorating the winter landscape with their flowers. From there we will begin our ascent to Puerto de la Espuma, where we can once again contemplate the town of Grazalema and its famous Peñon Grande from behind that characterizes it so much. We will take a path that will take us to the Puerto de Los Alamillos, and to finish, the land of " Los Terrazgos " that will take us back to the Tambor del Llano stables.
